The villa

The villa is built over water on concrete stilts and is connected by a pier to your private island. With 1500 square feet (140 sqm) of enclosed space, it boasts, with its two impressive terraces, a total area of about 3300 square feet (300 sqm). It has two bedrooms, a large open living room with kitchen, three bathrooms and a cabinet for washer and storage. This elegant villa was architect designed and built in 2020.
The water around the house is crystal clear with corals on both sides. In front of the terrace, the water is about 6 ft deep—great for jumping into the water right after breakfast. Or enjoy the amazing light of bioluminescence when swimming at nighttime!

Exquisite interior

The house was built with high quality materials. Floors, terrace, pier, and structural beams are made with Almendra – a beautiful and very resistant hard wood. The roof is aluminium and will last forever. A Philiphs HUE light system lets you tune the light to your preferred tone and brightness. The dining table is made of Greek white marble. The kitchen with Italian ceramics.

A gorgeous Foscarini lamp over the dining table makes beautiful shadows as it slowly rotates in the wind.

A secluded second house has 300 sq. ft. (27 sqm) of living space for a caretaker to look after the property when you are not there. Another 300 sq. ft. storage space in the same building contains the solar energy system and tools. All out of sight on the other side of the island.

There is internet connectivity and mobile phone coverage is good. Starlink should become available very soon as well.

Private island

Your own private island has about 7000 sq. ft. (630 sqm) with a path around the entire island. There is a huge Guava tree, a big Mango tree and lots of coconut palms as well as other vegetation (Papaya, Ananas, Bananas, Advocado, Cacao,…).

A pier goes halfway around the island connecting the main house to the caretaker house and on to the water tanks and another small pier for small boat anchorage. The island is surrounded by a wall of rocks so there is no place for sand fleas to grow, a huge plus in the Caribbean! A stairway near the main house leads up to the small island hill. Great for enjoying the breeze and a stunning view over the bay.

Pathway around the island

The island is located inside the entry of a small bay with some locals living in the area. It is super quiet and is about 10 minutes to the local village – Loma Partida – where you can buy basic food and fuel. This part of Isla Popa is called Punta Laurel.
